A Look Back at Blanco County History

From the August 6, 1986 Issue - The 1983 Ford Yankee Coach ambulance belonging to Blanco County and operated by the Blanco Volunteer Ambulance Corps was paid in full with the last Revenue Sharing Check from the county. Here Aaron Posey, president of Blanco National Bank, hands the title to County Judge Charles Scott and Commissioners Alton Koch and Charles Jones. Mary K. Irwin, executive director of the BVAC looks on. Commented Ms. Irwin “These ambulance were both paid for with funds donated by members of the blanco area along with Revenue Sharing Funds from Blanco County.” She concluded “This has been a joint effort to the betterment of Blanco and Blanco County for emergency medical care and transportation.”
