Summer's winding down, and, if you've noticed, the temperatures are coming down a little too! I can't wait for Fall!!! The kids are heading back to school, so watch out for them - they can be so quick!

Just wanted to say how much we all miss Tommy Vallone. I especially miss him coming into the drugstore accusing me of putting the lids on too tightly for him to open; he was a pistol! And as everyone else has said over the past couple weeks, he never knew a stranger and he would do anything he could for anybody. Hats off to you, Tommy!

Doris and Robert Rohm of Hye have had an eventful week or two - they are always so kind and send me fun things they have done, to wit: They flew a couple weeks ago to Fort Lauderdale and then headed to Boca Raton to visit their granddaughter Kelli and her friend Gregg. Their son Bryan and his wife Frances had also flown in from Dallas, so a good time was had by all! While they were there, Kelli received her Master's in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. The Rohms then traveled up to Casselberry near Orlando to visit with their friend Frances, whom they had met while on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2009. They finally returned to Hye a couple Saturdays ago, so they could rest!

Ada and Ronnie Cooley just got back from Arkansas too; I heard a good time was had by all there too!

Be sure and stop in the new donut shop across from the Bowling Alley - they have some great pastries, sure to expand your waistline - they're that good!
