The Blanco volleyball team tallied 6 wins and only 1 loss in last week’s games. The squad played in the St. Mary’s Hall Tournament in San Antonio on Thursday, August 23rd. The first opponent was Texas Military Institute (TMI) of San Antonio, with Blanco fighting for the win of 25-17, 16-25, and 25-21. Next, the girls faced St. Mary’s Hall winning again at 22-25, 25-18, and 25-18. The final game was played against Cornerstone Christian of San Antonio with Blanco on top at 25-14 and 25-18.

The Center Point Pirates traveled to the BHS gym on Friday, August 24th. The Panther JV fell to the Pirates at 18-25 and 15-25. The varsity was on “fire” winning 3 straight games at 25-8, 25-14, and 25-11.

The varsity squad returned to the St. Mary’s Hall tournament on Saturday, August 25th. The girls posted their only loss of the week to Houston Christian 22-25 and 21-25. This loss sent the team to the consolation side of the tournament brackets where they again defeated St. Mary’s Hall 25-16, 25-14 and TMI 25-18, 16-25, and 25-18 to win consolation. The outside hitter, Reagan Rogers, received an All-Tournament recognition.

The next home game is Friday, August 31st where JV plays at 4:00p.m. and Varsity plays at 5:00p.m. against Canyon Lake.
