Wonderful, community minded people live, work, and play in Blanco! Saturday night, the near full moon lit up the back porch as music filled the air at Zocalo Eclectic Cafe on Pecan St. The event was a fund raiser for Blanco Middle School sponsored by the restaurant. Local residents and Austinites enjoyed the evening. Out-of-town guest Sheila Cooper (Lago Vista) won the $100 gift certificate and immediately donated it to long-time Blanco Middle School Teacher Lynda Collard. Sheila said she “appreciates and admires” anyone who can teach middle school language arts for 23 years. Isn’t our community great? Thank a Teacher!
