Travel by motorcoach with Blanco United Methodist Church members and friends to Glen Rose, Texas on Saturday, October 20, 2012 to see “The Promise”, a musical experience of the life of Christ.

“The Promise” begins on the banks of the Paluxy River where a modern-day grandfather and his grandchildren are exploring the riverbed in search of dinosaur tracks. The setting reminds Grandpa of a story his own grandfather used to tell him about the Promise sent by God. “The Promise” brings a modern touch to the most amazing story ever told. It has a sweeping musical score, live animals, and a cast and crew of more than 150 dedicated Christian artists. This is the 24th year “The Promise” has been performed at the Texas Amphitheatre, the largest permanent outdoor theatre in the state.

The trip includes a brisket dinner ($15 adult/$10 children under 12), a pre-show concert (Free), the play ($29), and round-trip bus fare ($28.50) for a total of $72.50. All of the fun and fellowship with your friends and neighbors is included at no charge. A commitment and $25 deposit is needed by September 15, 2012, with the balance due by October 1.
