Remember the pictures that we asked for this summer? You will get to see the wonderful pictures of what makes Blanco Blanco in the library’s 2013 calendar going on sale October 1st! Stop by the library and local merchants to pick up your $5 copy. Once a week, starting this week, and running until November 1st, we will send one child who signed up for the Summer Reading program a little surprise! Kids, keep your eyes peeled for your prize by mail. This week’s random winner is Andrea C!

It is that time of year again for our annual Friends Membership Drive, starting the end of September through mid-November. Those who have been Friends in the past will receive a form in the mail, but those who do not can stop by the library and pick up a form in person. If you did not know, all membership fees go towards buying books for the library. The Friends purchase all of our books and help to support community programs, as well as present “members only” programs, such as mixers. How does this impact you? Well, if there is a book you are dying to read, but your personal library is full, you can always request we purchase that wonderful book for all our community to read (but YOU get first dibs).

Upcoming programs:

Teen Anime Night – September 13th @5:30pm – “Tales from Earthsea”

Blanco Writer’s Group – September 13th @2pm

Recently Added Bestsellers:

Kingmaker’s Daughter by Philippa Gregory

Rules of Civility by Amor Towles
