Young Life club is up and running in Blanco County! We have had two “clubs” to date (September 10th and 17th), and could not be more excited about the direction Young Life is going. On our first meeting (September 10th), nearly 90 high school kids from Blanco County packed our Young Life building and participated in lots of songs and games. The favorite game of the night was when a student from each grade at the high school had to eat through a large pan of Jello to get to five pieces of gum that had been baked inside. They then had to be the first to blow a bubble with the gum that had been sitting in the fridge for the past twenty-four hours… not an easy task! Most importantly, all 90 of those kids got to hear how God created the world, and out of everything that God created, He was most proud of them. For some of our students, this may have been the first time they got to hear that; for others it might have been the first time they’ve heard it presented in that way.

In Young Life we are all about fun and games, but more importantly we are all about the gospel. We desire to share with every high school student in Blanco County the truth about the gospel of Christ. It is our belief that once a student truly encounters the real, living Jesus, they won’t be able to say no to him.
