Assembling Buckets for Flood Survivors
Wednesday, September 26, 2012 • Posted September 30, 2012

“Does this bucket have sponges yet? How about work gloves?” The work crew went down the assembly line, filling buckets with cleaning supplies for flood survivors. Flooding in South Louisiana from Hurricane Isaac depleted the supply of filled buckets in the warehouse, so on Saturday volunteers met at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City to replenish the supply. These workers, from left to right, are Amber Martinez, Anna Lamar, Carly Metcalf and Cheyanne Smith. Their buckets already are on the shelves, ready to go as soon as the next call comes.
