7th Grade Panthers Shutout Eagles

The 7th grade Panthers defeated the Rogers Eagles 26-0 on Thursday, October 4. The Panthers scored 2 quick touchdowns with rushes by Will Granburg to lead 12-0 at 2:58 remaining in the 1st quarter. The 2 point conversion attempts failed on each.

The Panthers scored again on a 30 yard run by Toby Triesch. Kelby Cox ran the ball in for the 2 point conversion. Blanco led 20-0 with 5:00 remaining in the 1st half.

On the kickoff, Rogers fumbled and Blanco recovered. Cox scored on a 1 yard quarterback keeper. The extra point failed, but the Panthers took a 26-0 lead into half time. The two teams went "scoreless" through the 2nd half with defense stop for both sides.

Outstanding tackles were made by Diamon, Smith, Grandburg, Phipps, Spriggs, Merrick, Lovinggood, Van Dyke, and Savage. The Panthers won 26-0.
