Live Oak School Students Hold Reunion
Wednesday, October 24, 2012 • Posted October 25, 2012

The Annual Live Oak School Reunion was held October 13 at the Masonic Hall. This school was located about six miles west of Blanco on Sammy and Grace Flugrath’s place on the Blanco River. It was a one-room board schoolhouse built in the late 1800s that consolidated with Blanco in the 1930s. The building is no longer there as it was torn down and the lumber sold. Twenty five folks, seven of whom were former students, attended the reunion. The ages of the former students ranged from 82 to 101, and they all enjoyed the potluck meal with great fellowship and sharing of memories.
