Tots Need Toys (TNT), the Blanco program that helps families who need assistance at Christmas, will be working with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation this year. TNT feels this will be a more efficient use of time and resources.

Families requesting toys will need to complete an application form to comply with Marine Toys for Tots requirements. These forms are available from Blanco First Baptist Church, St. Ferdinand's Catholic Church, Blanco Church of Christ, New Hope Lutheran Chapel, Blanco United Methodist Church, Blanco Good Samaritan Center, and Blanco Elementary and Blanco Middle school counselors. The applications may be returned to any of these locations no later than Friday, November 9, 2012.

The parents or guardians of the children for whom they are requesting toys will then be scheduled an appointment to bring proof of residence, income, and birth certificates or guardianship papers for these children. This information is required by Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. All information will remain confidential within the program. Proof of residence can be a current utility bill or a current rent receipt that shows name and address. Proof of income can be a pay stub or proof of unemployment compensation.

Toys will be distributed on December 8 from the Fellowship Hall of Blanco United Methodist Church in the same manner as prior years. Anyone wishing to assist with this program may contact Blanco United Methodist Church at 830-833-5030.
