Wednesday, October 24, 2012 • Posted October 25, 2012

Recently, members of the Blanco FFA Chapter exhibited livestock at the Medina County Fair in Hondo as they participated in the annual prospect steer show. Overall, more than 300 head of cattle were exhibited over two days in the heifer and steer shows.

Those members taking home second-place ribbons in their respective breed classes included Asher Haack, Carly Haack, Hannah Garrett, Brenna Wallace, and Carlin Green. In addition to their second-place finishes, these students also had other steers that placed in the top five as well.

Exhibitors from the Blanco FFA and Blanco Jr. FFA will still have numerous steer, lamb and goat prospect shows coming up throughout the months of October and November, in addition to jackpot swine shows.
