7th Grade Panthers Outrun the Cougars

The 7th grade Blanco football team defeated the Jarrell Cougars 28-14 on Thursday, October 18. The Panthers scored 3 touchdowns in the first half, including runs by Will Granberg and Kelby Cox. One of the two-point conversions was good. Blanco led at halftime 22-14.

The second half proved to be a defensive battle, with each team stopping the other and turning the ball over on downs. However, the Panthers added one more touchdown on a 10-yard run by Will Granberg with 1:05 remaining in the game.

Jonathon Merritt covered the ball on the ensuing kickoff for the Panthers. The Panthers won 28-14.

Outstanding tackles were made by Cade Smith, Toby Triesch, Griffin Wearden, Kelby Cox, and Will Granberg.
