Construction Progresses at Elementary Campus
Wednesday, October 31, 2012 • Posted November 2, 2012

Construction at the elementary campus has been proceeding as scheduled.

“We’re real pleased with the way construction has progressed at the elementary campus,” said Superintendent Dr. Buck Ford. “Things are coming along real well.”

The new cafeteria is scheduled to begin operations on Monday, November 26—the first day back from the Thanksgiving holidays.

“We should be good to go,” said Vanguard site superintendent Bill Burrow. “The kitchen equipment is here, and we’ll install it this week.”

“When the new cafeteria is complete, we’ll begin renovating the old cafeteria to convert it to an art room, music room/band hall.”

“At the yellow building, we’ll install trusses next week, and we should have it all dried in within a couple of weeks.”

The local Masonic Lodge is scheduled to perform a cornerstone dedication ceremony at the site on November 15 at 11:00 AM.
