Blanco’s John Watson and fellow amateur astronomer Laurie Allai of Austin make final equipment adjustments at Blanco State Park’s Stars-in-the-Park event November 3.

Later, Park Interpretive Ranger Laura Cude stated, “We had over 70 participants last Saturday and are very excited to be able to host this super event in Blanco. Our next event will be Saturday, February 9th. The weather will be crisp but the winter sky will be magnificent! We hope everyone will come out and see one of Blanco’s natural wonders, our marvelous night sky.”
