I’ve noticed that all the wild turkeys I saw on our road over the past few weeks have run for the hills, so maybe it’s time for a ham for Thanksgiving!

A shout-out to Tina at the post office, glad to hear she is feeling better.

The chili cookoff held this weekend was won by our own Mikey Hounsell! I heard it was pretty good too... sorry I missed it.

Don’t forget to come sing Christmas carols with us on the courthouse steps Friday evening at 5:30 and visit with Santa after the Christmas lights are turned on - then stick around for the festivities afterward all around the Square. I will be at Papa Joey’s with The Dry River Gang, if they don’t boot me out, and Blanco Zydeco will be at The Red Bud Cafe. There will be music all over the area Friday evening among all the Christmas lights.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving! I know we all have things to be thankful for, if we think for a minute. I am just grateful to wake up and put my feet on the ground every morning!
