A Psalm of Thanksgiving

"Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations." (Psalms 100)

Someone has said, "We should express gratitude generously and sincerely; receive gratitude humbly and graciously; expect gratitude rarely, if ever." Thankfulness enriches us on the inside and changes our view of all that we see. It isn't so much what one has in the pocket but what resides in the heart that makes one truly thankful. The spirit of worship is enhanced not by a suit of clothes or the finest shoes but when we enter before Him with thanksgiving.
