Blanco Mini-Warehouse Storage Units Burglarized
Wednesday, November 28, 2012 • Posted November 29, 2012

Sometime on November 24th or 25th, locks were cut on 24 or 25 storage units at the Blanco Mini-Warehouse Storage Unit facility on Highway 281 north of the square in Blanco.

According to acting Police Chief Larry Feinstein, a renter of one of the units noticed that the lock on her unit had been cut with bolt cutters and that a number of things had been taken. Owner Philip Strickland is in the process of contacting all renters whose units have been burglarized to try to ascertain how much property has been stolen.

Acting Chief Feinstein went to one of the units with its renter on November 27 to test for fingerprints, which can then be run through the fingerprint database to attempt to find matches.

“We would love to catch these people,” said Feinstein, adding that police see an increase in thefts at the holiday season. “People just go crazy at this time of year,” he said.
