Puppetry class starting soon at the Blanco Library

Don’t miss this opportunity for your children to learn about, make, and perform with puppets.

Maggie Goodman is offering a new class for kids five and older on Mondays starting January 26. The curriculum will include aspects of culture and history by discussing puppets from around the world. There is also an art, literature, and drama component. But the most important component is fun- sock puppets, finger puppets, and marionettes will come alive each week for seven sessions. Drop-ins are welcome and the charge is five dollars per class plus two dollars materials fee. You can pay in advance for the whole session and save five dollars. Class time is 3:45 to 4:45.

Of course, there will be a performance for parents and the public at the end of the session. So avast ye mateys, register today by calling Maggie at 833-0245 or just bring yourself on down to the Blanco Library for the most awesome time you’ll have in 2009!
