The 2013 Blanco Lavender Festival Steering Committee announces a search for an official art piece to use as the central marketing theme for the highly successful Blanco Lavender Festival. The 2013 celebration of the Lavender harvest is scheduled for June 7-9, 2013.

The Blanco Chamber of Commerce is now accepting entries for the 2013 official festival art piece. The selected piece will be featured on the volunteer t-shirts and t-shirts for sale at the event, publicity posters and print advertisements, an art poster offered for sale, the front cover of the official festival brochure and rack card, and the Blanco Lavender Festival website.

The winning artist will receive a $100 cash prize and the opportunity to display their artwork in the Chamber office or a complimentary vendor booth on the historic Old Blanco Courthouse Square during the event. The artist’s bio will be displayed with the artwork and the winner will also receive a complimentary festival t-shirt. The artist will also have their name appear in credit listings on all printed material (including t-shirts).

The winner will be notified by Friday, February 15, 2013. Competition results will be posted on the festival website: blancolavenderfest.com.
