Precautionary recall issued for Luv Text Messages hard candy

(TEXAS) - H-E-B is issuing a precautionary recall for Luvs Candy Text Messages hard candy sold in all its stores.

The fruit-flavored candy, manufactured by ZED Candy may contain foreign material. There have been no reports of illnesses or injuries; however, H-E-B is taking all necessary precautions.

“We are committed to absolute and complete food safety,” said Winell Herron, H-E-B Group Vice President of Public Affairs and Diversity. “The product was removed from all our stores shelves early this afternoon and has been disposed of safely.”

In stores, signage has been posted notifying customers of the precautionary recall.

Additionally, the product has been blocked in H-E-B’s computer system to ensure none is sold at the register.

H-E-B is also working closely with the product’s manufacturer to resolve this issue.

H-E-B is encouraging anyone who purchased the product to return it to their nearest H-E-B store for a full refund.Customers with any questions or concerns can contact H-E-B Customer Service at 1-800-432-3113.
