$10,000 in Scholarships Available from Austin Board of REALTORS® Foundation

Jan. 16, 2009 — Help battle the rising cost of college tuition by applying for a $1,000 scholarship from the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) Foundation. This year, the ABoR Foundation will award at least 10 college-bound high school seniors with monetary assistance with their education costs. Applications are available online at www.abor.com/events/forms/ScholarshipApp.cfm.

To be eligible, students must be graduating this spring and planning to attend a Texas college or university. Students must also reside in one of the following counties: Travis; Williamson; Lee; Bastrop; Caldwell; Hays; Blanco; or Burnet.

The deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday, March 10 at 5 p.m. Applications must be mailed or hand delivered to the Austin Board of REALTORS®, Attn. Education, 10900 Stonelake Blvd., Ste. 100, Austin, Texas 78759. Recipients will be announced by late April. The ABoR Foundation, representing more than 7,500 licensed REALTORS® in Central Texas, is a charitable organization that provides scholarships, conducts service projects in the community and helps REALTORS® and their families in the event of catastrophe. Established in 1978, the ABoR Foundation has awarded more than 250 scholarships to high school seniors to help families put their children through college.
