Lady Panthers Suffer District Loss to Vikings

In a low-scoring district battle between the Panthers and the Vikings on Friday, January 18, Blanco fell to Lago Vista 29-39. Leslie McClinton led the Panthers with 9 points. Lexee Jenkins scored 7 with Charlsey Smith hitting 6 points. Meaghen Seales made 4 points and Reagan Rogers scored 3.

On Tuesday, January 15, the Panthers hosted St. Stephens of Austin. The varsity fell 41-65. Leslie paced the Panthers with 18 points. Lexee scored 13 with Charlsey adding 6. Abbie Culton hit 3 points and Payton Savarino made a point on a free throw.

The junior varsity also lost to St. Stephens, 13-44. Merritt Johnson led the team with 8 points, Kari Graham and Alexis Liesman each scored 2 points, with Charity Windham adding one on a free throw.

The varsity holds a 3-1 district record as they begin the second round of district play with their sights set on securing a playoff position.
