Panther Baseball Wins Johnson City Tournament

In their first game of the Johnson City tournament on Friday, March 1 the Panthers battled Lampasas for the 9-8 win in 8 innings. Kyle Gray, Sam Isenberg, T. J. Hardin, and Skylar Itz each had 3 hits. Sam pitched relief for the win. Next the Panthers soundly defeated Comfort 17-9. Colton Childress had 3 hits and 4 RBI. T. J. had 3 hits. Sam and Kyle each scored 4 runs. Layne Lassberg pitched for the win.

On Saturday, March 2, Blanco beat the host team, Johnson City, 6-3 in the championship game. Sam and Colton each had 3 hits. Josh McCaslin and Kyle each added 2 hits. Josh picked up the win in relief. Sam, Colton, and Skylar were named All-Tournament.

On Monday, March 4, the Panthers defeated Llano 16-12. Sam and Colton each had 3 hits. Kyle and Colton both knocked in 4 runs. T. J. picked up the win on the mound.

Blanco will host its 8th annual tournament beginning Thursday, March 7.
