Wednesday, March 13, 2013 • Posted March 14, 2013

This is an open invitation to Blanco’s Easter Sonrise Worship Service for the entire community starting at 6:15 am on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Yett Park.

Rain or shine, the Sonrise service will take place with breakfast and beverages prepared by Steve Becker of the Chess Club at 6:15 am.

Worship led by John Lightfoot will begin at 6:45 am.

Enjoy the message of Jesus’ resurrection presented by Father Justin Udomah in an informal outside setting. “Come as you are” to an informal outside setting and experience the wonder and majesty of God’s creation as you enjoy the message of Jesus’ resurrection. If you have never experienced an outdoor Sonrise service, you don’t know what you are missing! There is just something very spiritual and moving about hearing the message of the resurrection with the backdrop of the sun rising over Blanco, Texas as nature awakens with the light. It is as if you go from the gloom and fog that must have covered the earth when Jesus was crucified, to the beauty and wonder of the sunrise that symbolizes His resurrection and the hope and joy that was restored to man.

St. Ferdinand's Catholic Church Choir will be singing Resurrection Sunday Morning.

Cowboy legend and Blanco's own Lawrence Coffee will be teaching life lessons on roping through actual training and demonstrations using his Rodeo Roper Calf Roping Trainer. Cowboy up and show your skill at roping at the Easter Sonrise Service. Lawrence Coffee is to be inducted into the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum and Hall of Fame this summer.
