Blanco Police Reports

These reports were filed between Dec 23 and Dec 30.

Dec 23

• Disturbance. 12:36 AM. A caller reported a verbal disturbance with an individual who would not leave. Officers reported that both parties agreed to separate for the night (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Reckless Driver. 8:13 AM. US 281, southbound into Blanco.

• Civil Standby. 9:45 AM. A complainant stated that individuals were coming to pick her up and was worried that a subject would initiate another disturbance. An officer responded for assistance.

• Assault. 9:02 PM. A complainant requested to speak with an officer about an assault. Officers responded and separated the parties (with Blanco Co. SO).

Dec 24

• Alarm. 12:48 PM. A cleaning crew accidentally set of an alarm at Riverside Bar & Grill.

• Reckless Driver. 5:55 PM. US 281, southbound into Blanco.

Dec 25

• Suspicious Circumstances. 1:00 AM. A complainant who was out of town stated that he heard that his vehicle may have been stolen from his residence. An officer reported that the vehicle was safe and secure.

• Alarm. 2:39 PM. 911 received a report of a burglar alarm at Super S. Officers and the assistant manager checked the building and found it secure.

• Traffic Hazard. 6:45 PM. A horse trailer without tail lights was reported on US 281. The caller was having a difficult time seeing the back of the trailer.

Dec 26

• Alarm. 1:52 AM. Weather triggered an alarm.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 6:07 PM. A caller found the doors unlocked at the antique store on the Square.

• Welfare Concern. 11:37 PM. A caller requested help with an intoxicated subject who was leaving Riverside Bar.

Dec 27

• Suspicious Vehicle. 7:26 AM. A suspicious vehicle was reported behind Blanco National Bank. An officer reported that it was occupied by an employee who was sleeping.

• Suspicious Person. 10:18 AM. A complainant received a call from her neighbors, who reported that a subject was trying to break into her house through the front door. The complainant was out of town. An officer reported that the house was secure and that there was a package delivered on the front step.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 9:10 PM. A caller reported a party going on at the apartments near the Blanco Cemetery. An officer could not find the party.

Dec 28

• Information. 12:31 PM. A fake $10 bill was passed at Dairy Queen.

• Minor Traffic Accident. 7:03 PM. A blue form was issued for an accident at Riley’s.

Dec 29

• Rollover Accident. 2:25 AM. A caller reported a vehicle rollover on US 281, in front of CarQuest, with injuries involved. A wrecker was requested (with Johnson City PD).

• Discharge of Fireworks in City. 3:58 PM. A caller reported kids popping fireworks all day near the Blanco Oaks Apartments. Officers reported that the apartment manager gave the kids permission.

Dec 30

• Suspicious Vehicle. 6:32 PM. A complainant stated that a truck kept passing by her house on 11th St. An officer stopped the vehicle and told the subject to slow down.

Johnson City Police Reports

These reports were filed between Dec 23 and Dec 30.

Dec 23

• Reckless Driver. 9:18 AM. An SUV was reportedly driving recklessly.

• Welfare Check. 1:00 PM. A caller requested an officer check on a individual. Everything was OK and the individual would contact the caller.

Dec 24

• Disturbance. 2:13 AM. A fight was reported in the Best Western parking lot. EMS was requested. The victim refused to press charges, the officer reported.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 7:11 PM. A caller on Live Oak stated that an RV was parking in front of his driveway and the occupants were camping out. An officer reported that the RV was back on the road.

• Noise Complaint. 8:16 PM. Loud music was reported in the Casparis Trailer Park.

• Suspicious Activity. 9:50 PM. A caller reported someone shooting off aerial fireworks around Ave. O.

Dec 25

• Noise Complaint. 10:55 AM. An officer advised subjects in the Casparis Trailer Park to turn down their music.

Dec 26

• Open Door. 1:34 AM. An officer found an open door to a building. Everything was OK; the owner was there working.

• Reckless Driver. 9:35 AM. A vehicle was driving all over the road, aggressively. The caller stated that the driver was possibly texting on a cell phone. An officer issued the driver a citation for speeding and reported that the driver was cut off and was a little upset.

• Information. 2:30 PM. A complainant decided to press charges on a previous incident.

• Fraud. 3:09 PM. A complainant reported receiving a call from someone asking for money for Johnson City PD.

• Theft. 4:52 PM. A caller at Dairy Queen reported money missing but later called back to say the money had been found.

Dec 27

• Agency Assist. 7:39 AM.

• Civil Standby. 2:19 PM. An officer secured the scene at the Feed Mill.

Dec 28

• Agency Assist. 12:56 PM. An officer assisted with a call regarding a child who had hit his head.

• Reckless Driver. 4:06 PM. A vehicle was reportedly driving recklessly on US 281. An officer located the vehicle and reported that everything was OK.

• Reckless Driver. 6:10 PM. An officer stopped a vehicle that was seen driving recklessly and spoke with the driver.

Dec 29

• Fraud. 11:17 AM. A complainant reportedly received a fax soliciting money for a police association.

• Escort. 1:33 PM. Officers escorted a funeral to the Masonic Cemetery (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Reckless Driver. 8:25 PM. A vehicle was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed and tailgating on US 90 West, toward Johnson City. An officer followed the vehicle southbound on US 281 and stopped it at Mountain Top. The officer spoke with the driver.

Dec 30

• Suspicious Activity. 10:32 PM. A caller reported fireworks being shot off on Pecan St. The subjects had permission to shoot off fireworks, the officer reported.

Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Reports

These reports were filed between Dec 23 and Dec 30.

Dec 23

• Traffic Accident. 8:08 AM. A report was taken on an accident that occurred on RR 165. A wrecker was requested.

• Disturbance. 11:10 AM. Officers responded to a disturbance call and arrested one subject.

• Traffic Accident. 12:12 PM. A two-vehicle accident was reported on 962 West. Mailboxes were damaged with mail spread everywhere.

• Minor Traffic Accident. 1:20 PM. An officer issued a blue form at Hill Country Cupboard.

Dec 24

• 911 Call. 5:14 AM. A lost motorist on US 290 West needed directions to San Marcos.

• Close Patrol. 3:34 PM. Officers kept an eye on a residence while the owners were out of town.

• BOLO. 4:00 PM. All departments were asked to be on the look out for a pickup that was taken earlier that day.

• Disturbance. 9:42 PM. A complainant stated a subject put a gun to his neck. Officers responded; a criminal trespass warning was issued.

Dec 25

• 911 Call. 5:10 AM. An operator received a 911 call with a fast busy signal. An officer checked on the welfare of the residents.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 9:08 AM. Officers investigated an open door at an unoccupied house.

• Loose Livestock. 9:23 AM. Officers responded to a loose livestock call on US 281. The animals were put back up and the owner was notified to repair the fence.

• Stranded Motorist. 5:53 PM. A motorist had a flat tire on US 290 East. An officer reported that help was on the scene to change the tire.

• Reckless Driver. 6:54 PM. A complainant reported a pickup that was tailgating on US 290 East. The vehicle was reportedly driving all over the roadway and targeting different vehicles. The vehicle pulled into the last roadside park before the Y. An officer advised the driver about driver’s license suspension and driving.

• Reckless Driver. 7:17 PM. A vehicle was reportedly driving all over the roadway on RR 165 at Tejas Trail, going into oncoming traffic.

• Fireworks Ban Violation. 7:51 PM. Fireworks were reported in the neighborhood of River Oaks Rd. The caller was concerned about the fire hazard. An officer advised the subjects about the fireworks ban.

• Noise Complaint. 9:07 PM. A caller reported heavy duty fireworks being used in the Mountain Top area and was concerned about the possible fire hazard. An officer was unable to locate the fireworks.

• Suspicious Person. 9:49 PM. A caller almost hit a subject with a backpack who was sitting on the rail on the Towhead Creek Bridge. The caller was concerned for the subject’s welfare and safety. An officer made contact with the subject, who was just walking, and advised her to be careful when walking.

Dec 26

• Motorist Assist. 7:11 AM. A motorist on US 290 West had a flat tire. An officer was unable to locate the motorist.

• Noise Complaint. 12:55 PM. A caller reported loud music being played. An officer advised the subjects to turn it down.

• Reckless Driver. 1:25 PM. A caller reported a possibly intoxicated driver on 473. A State Trooper checked on the subject and found the driver to be OK.

• Traffic Accident. 3:43 PM. An accident involving two vehicles was reported on US 281 at US 290 East.

• Disturbance. 6:51 PM. A caller stated that an individual was hiding from an abusive subject. An officer escorted the subject off the property and issued a criminal trespass warning.

• Property Damage. 11:45 PM. A complainant reported damaged mailboxes.

Dec 27

• Reckless Driver. 11:05 AM. A speeding truck reportedly ran the complainant off the road at Loop 163 at the US 281 stop light.

• Civil Standby. 11:20 AM. A subject who received a criminal trespass warning the previous night requested an officer to stand by while he picked up his property. The subject picked up his property.

• 911 Hangup. 1:07 PM. 911 received a staticky call. The operator spoke with the owner of the phone, who was sitting round a campfire with friends, and sounded OK.

• Animal Complaint. 11:43 PM. A caller stated a suspicious dog barked at her.

Dec 28

• 911 Hangup. 6:23 AM. 911 received a hangup and called back; everything was OK.

Dec 29

• Suspicious Activity. 8:33 AM. A harassment report was filed regarding cell phone texts advising the complainant to follow demands or an individual would be taken.

• Terroristic Threats. 4:09 PM. A caller asked to speak with an officer about threats made to a subject.

Dec 30

• Suspicious Activity. 6:07 PM. A caller reported people popping firecrackers.

• 911 Hangup. 9:20 PM. A 911 call was caused by phone problems.

• Motorist Assist. 9:48 PM. A caller stated that his vehicle, located on RR 32, needed a jump start. The vehicle had a flat tire, however.

Texas Department of Public Safety Reports

These reports were filed between Dec 23 and Dec 30.

Dec 23

• Traffic Accident. 6:11 AM. A two-vehicle accident occurred on US 281 at the Old River Crossing. No injuries were reported. The vehicles were quickly cleared from the roadway (with Blanco Co. SO).

Dec 24

• Traffic Accident. 7:11 AM. A vehicle hit a pole at the US 290/US 281 Y. Two subjects were injured; one was minorly injured and refused EMS transport to a hospital. Blanco County deputies and Johnson City PD assisted.

Dec 26

• Traffic Accident. 4:28 PM. Two vehicles were involved in an accident on RR 1323 at CR 308. A wrecker was needed for one vehicle.

• Motorcycle Accident. 11:56 PM. An accident was reported at RR 1623 at RR 1888. A wrecker was requested. One subject was arrested.

Dec 29

• Arrest on View / Agency Assist. 10:31 AM. One subject was arrested (with Blanco PD).
