Community English Class Completes First Term
Wednesday, June 5, 2013 • Posted June 6, 2013

Community English Classes, an outreach of Blanco First Baptist Church, closed its first term on May 20 with a Celebration and Recognition night. The FBC ministry provides support and instruction to adult English language learners and a program for their children while demonstrating and sharing God’s love.

Forty-seven adults enrolled in the program. The students eagerly arrived each Monday night. The chatter and laughter in the classrooms and hallways indicated there was joy in the learning experience.

The program’s success was made possible by a highly motivated staff of 25 regular volunteers along with a host of additional assistants from both the church and the community. With the financial aid of Bluebonnet Baptist Association, the church was able to provide supper each evening.

Registration for the 2013-2014 school term of Community English Classes will be September 16. Look for details later in the summer, or contact Blanco FBC at 830-833-4632 for further information.
