Local Boy Scout Kenny Standridge, of Troop #58 in Bulverde, is Number 2 in the United States in popcorn sales. The Boy Scouts sell popcorn every year, and Kenny has reached $26,200 in sales. He’s ranked #1 in this region, which includes 11 states.

Another Boy Scout in California is at $30,000 and Kenny has two additional weeks to catch up and be #1. 70% of the yearly sales go directly back to the Boy Scouts of America, 40% into an account to pay for the boys’ uniforms and summer camp gear. Since Kenny is #1 in the region, 12% of his gross sales will be put into a scholarship.
