Blanco Library’s Summer Reading Program Ends Soon
Wednesday, July 24, 2013 • Posted July 25, 2013

We would like to say thank you to the kind gentleman who gave us a beautiful purple orchid last Thursday. It is very beautiful and the library received a blessing.

Kids, this Friday is our last Summer Reading Program meeting! Bring your superhero stories to the library at 10:30am to share, meet local teen author Connor Eyzaguirre again, and enjoy a party! While the programs will finish at the end of July, children can collect their reading prizes until August 10th. Remember, we have fun prizes like ice cream coupons to Liz’s On the Square, Six Flags Fiesta Texas coupons, candy, toys, and much more! You can continue to sign up for the summer reading program until August 1st.

Photo Contest Time! We would like to say a big thank you to those who have started submitting pictures for the contest. We are gearing up for making our 2014 Blanco Calendar and we want your pictures! Submit your pictures of what you think make Blanco unique or a moment in time that you have captured in our wonderful Hill Country city or surrounding areas. Please find print our photo release form from our website and send it along with your entry.

The Blanco Library needs your help! We need front desk volunteers for Friday mornings 10-1pm and Friday afternoon 1-3pm. If you are interested in any of these positions, please come into the library and fill out an application. Be sure to let us know which one of these volunteer availabilities you want.

As always, remember to check our website at or call us at 830-833-4280 for more information.
