The Spa at the Inn at Baron’s Creek (308 S.Washington St., FBG, TX) is sponsoring a Whole and Natural Wellness Fest for the benefit of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Hill Country. This free event is thought to be the first of its kind for Fredericksburg and they are planning on making it an annual event. The goal is to bring together local and area businesses focusing on natural and healthy products and services in order to help the public choose a healthy lifestyle.
With healthcare in the headlines so often these days, people are realizing just how important their own daily choices are towards living a happy, healthy life. Those choices are many and vary from what kind of water to drink, to whether to buy organic products, to alternative and mainstream medicines and therapies. Much of our health is in our own hands and this event is all about informing people about how to stay healthy and active.
The beneficiary of this fundraising and awareness-raising event is The Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Hill Country. Becoming a “Big,” as the adults are called, is a simple way to make a huge impact on an at-risk child, called a “Little.” Just an hour a couple of times a month can make a tremendous impact on the life of a “Little.” After all, our future is our children.
Co-sponsoring this event are local Independent Nerium Brand Partners, Sharlene Trumet, Gloria Soto, Tonya Benson, and Linda Blalock. As representatives of Nerium International, they are participating in the corporate philosophy of “Nerium Gives Back” by being involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Nerium International is the largest corporate sponsor for Big Brothers Big Sisters nationally and raised over $100,000 for them just last month.
Some of the natural categories participating include acupuncture, nutritionals, wellness technologies, health and wellness coaching, chiropractic, algorithmic technologies, naturals stones and jewelry. Anti-aging, massage therapy, reiki, reflexology and more.
The Whole and Natural Wellness Fest will be held on Saturday, August 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Inn at Baron’s Creek Convention Center in the Nimitz Room, 308 S. Washington St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624. This is a free event to the public and there is plenty of parking.
