Jamie Garcia, 49, born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, resident of Blanco, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Garcia was a loving son, brother, and uncle.

He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps from 1981-1985.

He was an avid fisherman, who was deeply loved and will be missed by all.

Jaime Garcia is preceded in death by his sister, Raquel (Raquelita) Garcia.

He is survived by his father, Luis Garcia Jr.; his mother, Maria Guadalupe Garcia; his brothers and sisters and their wives and husbands, Eraquio (Elizabeth Garcia), Luis Garcia III, Rebecca Garcia, Magdalena Gomez (Eddie), Eudocio (Jennifer Garcia), and Raquel Garcia and her love Andrew Rust. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation was held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, with the rosary at 7 p.m. at funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, at 1914 Barnard Road with the interment following at Buena Vista Burial Park.
