Allied Body & Paint Celebrates Grand Opening

Jay McGinnis is the owner and manager of Allied Body & Paint which recently opened i in Blanco. Jay has 20 plus years of full time work experience in the Auto Body Repair Industry. His dad owned his own shop which specialized in Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW repair. Jay’s knowledge of the trade started with dad taking him in his car carrier to the shop each day while he worked on cars. Jay learned to weld at the ripe at the ripe old age of 4. When Jay was 15 years old he and his dad moved to Dallas, TX. After high school Jay worked at several high performance shops including the Foreign Car Shop and Contours Paint & Body in Dallas. Jay and his family decided to leave the hustle and bustle of the big city and moved to Blanco, where he worked for a major direct repair collision center in San Antonio for 5 years before opening his own shop in the serene and beautiful Hill Country.

Jay lives in Blanco with his wife Christine, who works for Texas Hills Bank, and with his 2 children, daughter Ashley, 10 years old, and son Shane, 3 years old. Jay’s father-in-law is Comal ISD Athletic Director and Mayor of Blanco, Jim Rodrigue.
