Record Poinsettia Fundraiser Supports Blanco Elementary
Wednesday, December 11, 2013 • Posted December 12, 2013

This was the Blanco PTO’s 4th annual Poinsettia Fundraiser. It was a great success due to the support of our outstanding community; over 1300 plants were sold. The first year we started, we sold 520 and thought that was amazing, but every year we keep increasing our numbers. The money collected will go directly to the students to fund their field trips.

The best part of this sale is that we keep everything local. The Poinsettias are grown right here in Blanco at Klepac’s Nursery, and again they did not let us down. The Poinsettias were absolutely beautiful!

We received generous donations to purchase gift card prizes to the top three sellers. The first place seller was Carson Riba selling 91 plants, 2nd place was John Handley Kainer with 47 plants, and 3rd place was Emma Baker with 40 plants.
