The 2009 Blanco County Youth Exhibit Hall Show was held Thursday and Friday during the Youth Stock Show. Students competed against others their age group in six classes: Food, Home Canning, Sewing, Hobbies, Fine Arts and Educational Exhibits. The winners are as follows:

Reserve Champion awards went to Elizabeth O’Day, Peanut Clusters; Elizabeth O’Day, Horse Tail Wrap; and Bailey Zoeller, Boots photograph.
The sweepstakes winner was Avery Klepac who earned the most points based on her many successful placings earning prize money and a Carhartt jacket. Avery also won this award in 2008.
All winners received ribbons, rosettes, lunch coolers, cookbooks and prize money thanks to our gracious donors who have donated funds for several years: Klepac Greenhouses, Inc., Lauren, Kelley and Sharon Savage, Johnson City 4-H Club, Soaring Eagles 4-H Club, Blanco Valley Farms, Jim and Marla Sanders, Jerry and Frances Leist, and April and Jimmy Klepac.
A huge thank you goes out to Angie Wright for the beautiful decorations. Angie worked hard at creating a winter wonderland theme in the Exhibit Hall and everyone appreciates her talent.
