Panthers Drive Past the Deer

In the first District 27-AA game of the season on January 3, 2014 the Panther Varsity girls out scored the Comfort Deer 60-26. Lexee Jenkins scorched the hoops scoring 20 points, followed closely by Meaghen Seales with 15. Jamie McClinton sank 12 points, with Reagan Rogers adding 9. Merritt Johnson made a 3 point shot, with Megan Wier adding 1 point on a free throw.

The Junior Varsity also ran away with a 45-15 win over the Deer. Andrea Calzoncit scored 12 points to lead the team. Hannah Hulbert sank 7 with Brenna Wallace adding 6. Paige Green, Montana Wiseman, and Katlinn Calzoncit each scored 3. Gracie Edmondson made 2 points.

During the holiday break the Panthers played Austin Crockett on December 20, 2013 falling 53-77. Jenkins paced the team scoring 19 points. Seales and Rogers each made 10, with Payton Savarino scoring 9. Abbie Culton sank 2 points

The JV lost a close game 25-31. Calzoncit led the Panthers scoring 10. Victoria Maya made 5 with Kaleigh Griffin adding 4. Savannah Kershaw scored 2 points.

On December 31, 2013 the Panthers fell to the Navarro Panthers 28-68. McClinton and Rogers each scored 9 with Jenkins adding 4. Savarino sank 3 with Seales scoring 2. Kari Graham added 1 point.

The Panthers host the Ingram Warriors on Friday, January 10, 2014 in a District-27AA clash. The JV game starts at 5pm followed by the Varsity at 6:30pm Come support your Blanco basketball teams!
