Christmas is coming down in Bindseil Park. Keep Blanco Beautiful volunteers worked hard to light up the park in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving Weekend. Now that the Christmas season is over, all those decorations and lights need to be packed away for next year. It is a big job to take care of the flowerbeds, maintain the paths and pick-up the litter as well as decorate for the holiday season. Blanco’s volunteers did an outstanding job throughout 2013. If you wish to join the group, they meet every Tuesday morning (except in inclement weather) at Bindseil Park. Please come join them.
The first big Keep Blanco Beautiful events for 2014 will be the annual Trash-off day and County wide Clean-Up. The exact dates are still to be determined. Do your part every day in keeping litter off our streets. Check your fence lines for plastic bags that the wind has blown in. Pick cans, bottles, and fast food containers up along the street in front of your house. Some people are careless letting trash blow out of pick-up beds or being too lazy to properly dispose of food and drink containers. So, yes, other people have to pick-up after them if they want to live in a beautiful, tidy town. Let’s all do our part in 2014 to Keep Blanco Beautiful.
