Panthers Win District Opener Over Warriors

In their first District 27-AA clash of the season, Blanco faced the Ingram Warriors in an exciting battle. The Panthers led 32-30 at halftime and extended that lead to 6 by the end of the game, 64-58. Brett Champion led Blanco scoring 16 points. Kyle Sauceda sank 12, with Carlin Green adding 10. David Ramirez made 8, with Trent Dechert and Jacob McCaslin each scoring 6. Tyler Schlinke scored 4 with Josh McCaslin sinking 2.

The Junior Varsity played two games falling to Ingram 23-34 and 23-35. In the first game James Rodriguez scored 8 with Jacob Robinson making 5. Joaquin Olmedo and Hugo Rodriguez each sank 4 points while Jeremy Kindla scored 2. In the second game Julio Alegria paced the team with 7 points. Dawson Albin scored 5 with Garrett Seales adding 4. Josh Cross Caldwell, Ross Edwards, and Noah Wheeler each scored 2. Dylan Tesch sank 1 point.

The Panthers take on the Lago Vista Vikings at home on Friday, January 17. Game times are set for 5:00, 6:30, and 8:00. Come watch some exciting basketball!
