Panthers Grab District Crown

The Blanco Panthers won the District 27-AA Championship posting an undefeated 8-0 record with their final District win, 59-33, over Johnson City on Wednesday, February 12. Kyle Sauceda led the team scoring 16 points. Josh McCaslin sank 10 points, with Carlin Green adding 8, Jacob McCaslin and Brett Champion each scored 6 points. Tyler Schlinke made 5, with Trent Dechert and Ty Royce each sinking 4 points.

The Junior Varsity won a close one, 42-41. John Cross Caldwell and Dylan Tesch led the Panthers scoring 9 points each. Alfredo Amezquita sank 8 and Dawson Albin made 5 points. Hugo Rodriguez, Garrett Seales, and Julio Alegria each scored 3. James Rodrigues scored 2 points.

The Panthers head into playoffs with a Bi-District game against Karnes City after presstime.
