Dec 30

• Intoxicated Driver. 2:43 PM. Officers attempted to locate a vehicle coming from Hays County, on RR32, driven by an intoxicated driver.

• Possible Burglary. 3:13 PM. An officer responded to a call about a broken window.

Jan 1

• Vandalism. 11:09 AM. A window at the high school was broken. A vehicle description was given.

Jan 2

• Suspicious Circumstances. 4:03 PM. A bag of marijuana was found in the Riley’s Bar-B-Q parking lot. An officer took possession of the substance.

• Civil Standby. 6:53 PM. A complainant requested an officer for a civil standby so she could pick up her belongings.

• Noise Complaint. 8:15 PM. Loud music at Greenlawn Pkwy and 13th St.

• Suspicious Activity. 10:56 PM. A complainant requested an officer for subjects who were intoxicated in the Greenlawn Apartments parking lot.

Jan 3

• Stolen Vehicle. 10:54 AM. A caller stated that a vehicle was stolen from the C.J’s parking lot and was found wrecked on RR 32 in Comal County.

• Burglary Alarm. 11:08 AM. Accidental alarm at Squeaky Clean Car Wash.

• Suspicious Activity. 12:59 PM. A vehicle was reportedly driving up and down McKinney Loop while occupants threw fireworks out the windows.

• Welfare Check. 7:41 PM. An officer was asked to check on an individual at the Iron Horse. Everything was OK.

Jan 4

• Traffic Hazard. 6:28 PM. A caller reported something in the middle of US 281, near RR 32. An officer cleared the roadway.

• Minor Traffic Accident. 9:30 PM. A vehicle was in a ditch off Loop 163.

Jan 5

• Animal Complaint. 9:29 AM. A caller was taking a dog to the vet clinic.

• Alarm. 5:54 PM. Blanco Heating & Cooling.

• Intoxicated Driver. 6:44 PM. A truck was reportedly crossing the double yellow line on US 281, heading northbound into Blanco. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested a subject for driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle.

• Civil Matter / Verbal Disturbance. 9:15 PM. An officer responded to a call at the Greenlawn Apartments regarding a verbal dispute between two subjects over property.

Jan 6

• Traffic Accident. 10:02 AM. A three-vehicle accident was reported on US 281 at 4th St. A wrecker was requested.

• Disturbance. 12:58 PM. Officers responded and reported that everything was OK.

• Civil Standby. 2:37 PM. An officer performed a civil standby at the Greenlawn Apartments.

• Theft. 5:40 PM. A 4-wheeler was taken; a report was filed on it.

Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Reports

These reports were filed between Dec 30 and Jan 8.

Dec 30

• Harassment / Information. 6:24 AM. A complainant stated that a subject continued to call and harass him; he told her to leave him alone and she would not. A deputy spoke with the subject and advised to her cease and desist all contact with the complainant or she would be facing harassment charges.

• Traffic Hazard. 11:48 AM. 10 to 15 people, along with motorcycles, were reportedly in the roadway on RR 473 at RR 32. Officers were unable to locate the group.

• Reckless Driver. 1:21 PM. US 281, north from Blanco.

• Reckless Drivers. 5:30 PM. A caller reported two kids driving 4-wheelers at high speeds on Narrows Rd. An officer spoke with the kids.

Dec 31

• Theft. 11:06 AM. A caller reported equipment that had been stolen. An officer was scheduled patrol the area.

• Welfare Check. 11:32 AM. An officer was asked to check on a subject. Everything was OK.

• Stolen Vehicle. 2:55 PM. A caller who had been gone since the previous Friday returned to find a vehicle was missing.

• 911 Hangup. 3:08 PM. Speedy Stop (with Johnson City PD).

• Information / Civil Standby. 3:55 PM. A caller wanted to pick up a vehicle from a location where a verbal dispute occurred.

• Theft. 4:48 PM. A complainant wanted to make a report about a stolen wedding ring.

• Theft. 9:37 PM. A complainant wanted to report items that were stolen from the property.

• Suspicious Person. 9:51 PM. A caller reported a person on the US 281 bridge standing by a vehicle and waving down people (with Texas DPS).

• Information. 11:57 PM. A caller reported theft of property on a porch of a business; the chain securing the items had been cut.

Jan 1

• Verbal Disturbance. 7:30 AM. A subject was reportedly being verbally abusive. Officers reported that everything was OK. Comal County deputies assisted.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 8:52 AM. A vehicle was reported on RR 2766 at Yeager Creek Rd. A subject was found down at the creek.

• Panic Alarm. 11:23 AM. Residential.

• Fireworks Violation. 11:35 AM. Subjects on McCall Creek Rd. were reported shooting fireworks.

• Civil Matter. 4:43 PM. A tractor had been taken.

Jan 2

• Fire Alarm. 8:53 AM. False alarm at a residence.

• Vandalism. 1:50 PM. Mailboxes were reportedly damaged for the second time.

• Abandoned Vehicle. 2:25 PM. A vehicle was reported on Flat Creek Rd. An officer reported that the vehicle was gone.

• Information. 3:05 PM. Two vehicles were parked on the complainant’s property.

Jan 3

• Traffic Accident. 12:39 AM. A traffic accident was reported on RR 32.

• 911 Hangup / Disturbance. 12:55 AM. 911 received a hangup call. When the operator called back, a subject stated that an individual was intoxicated and called 911. Officers responded and advised that the disturbance was verbal only.

• Unattended Death. 7:53 AM. A person passed away during the night. Justice of the Peace Riley was requested.

• Inmate Transport. 10:25 AM. An inmate was taken to Oklahoma.

• 911 Hangup. 11:02 AM. Everything was OK, officers reported.

• Traffic Accident. 12:36 PM. A motorcycle accident was reported on CR 301; the driver had a possibly broken wrist.

• Burn Ban Violation. 12:44 PM. A violation was reported in Twin Sisters. Two or three acres were lost.

• Information. 1:40 PM. A caller stated that subjects were given permission to hunt on the family’s property; an officer was requested to speak with one of the subjects.

• Welfare Check. 3:29 PM.

• Disturbance. 8:27 PM. A caller’s neighbors were having a domestic dispute. Officers separated the parties.

• Animal Complaint. 10:50 PM. A white horse was walking in the middle of the road, heading south on CR 102, 5 miles out from Blanco.

Jan 4

• Welfare Concern. 10:10 AM. A complainant reported two suspicious subjects wandering around the Berkley’s parking lot. The subjects had a flat tire and were asking customers for help.

• Courtesy Transport. 10:39 PM. A subject was given a ride from Gillespie County to Hays County and handed over to an officer in Hays.

Jan 5

• Terroristic Threat. 2:01 PM. A caller was reportedly being stalked and wanted to make a report.

• Citizen Assist. 3:37 PM. A subject had locked herself out. A locksmith was contacted for her.

• Animal Complaint. 4:11 PM. A caller reported three malnourished and neglected horses who were in a muddy pen without shelter. The call was forwarded to Hays County.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 11:51 PM. A complainant stated that someone had hung a mannequin covered in red blood, rang their doorbell, and ran away. Officers paroled the area.

Jan 6

• 911 Call. 2:15 AM. 911 received a call with no one on the line. The problem was weather-related.

• 911 Call. 4:38 AM. 911 received a staticky call; the owner stated that the phone has trouble during bad weather.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 8:00 AM. A vehicle had been sitting on RR 165 for two days. An officer spoke with the owner and reported that the vehicle had broken down.

• Livestock Loose. 8:16 AM. Cows on 962 East were secured after they were reported loose.

Jan 7

• Traffic Accident. 6:33 AM. A vehicle hit a guard rail on 71, just inside the county line. DPS and a wrecker were notified. A Blanco County deputy was requested to relieve two Burnet County deputies who were on the scene.

• Burn Ban Violation. 12:39 PM. A burn ban violation was reported off RR 3232.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 7:18 PM. A complainant reported a suspicious vehicle driving by and making a lot of noise.

Jan 1

• Theft of Property. 12:14 AM. Berkley’s (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Traffic Accident. 3:11 AM. A vehicle hit a guard rail on RR 1623. The driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. AirLife was requested to take the driver to University Hospital (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Traffic Accident. 7:26 PM. Two vehicles hit two donkeys on US 290 East at Middle Creek Rd. A wrecker was requested (with Blanco Co. SO).
