Blanco State Park on Television

Blanco, Texas - This week on the Texas Parks and Wildlife television show, aired on local PBS stations, viewers can see a feature on Blanco State Park which will include interviews with local boy scouts.

Filmed at different times over the last six months, the program shows Blanco State Park at the height of the busy summer season and in the colorfulness of fall. Recent work on the nature trail and its impact on outdoor education programs and a minister who uses the river for baptisms are all highlighted in the show.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife television show featuring the segment on Blanco State Park can be seen on KLRU (the local PBS affiliate from Austin) on Friday, February 6th at 5:30am or Sunday, February 8th at 9:00am. The segment will also soon be available to view online at www.tpwd.state.tx.us.
