FFA Livestock Teams Do Well at S.A.L.E.

The Blanco FFA Chapter recently competed in the San Antonio Livestock Exposition livestock judging competition in both the junior and senior divisions. In the senior contest, Blanco placed 22nd out of 248 teams. Individually, Logan Dodd finished 22nd out of 821 contestants. Other local FFA members placing high included: Ryan Edwards, Kari Graham, Garrett Seales, Molly Edmondson, Jacob Fuller, Carson Kipp, Brenna Wallace, Ryan Bible, Maggie Reininger, Jacob Robinson and Payton Savarino.

In the junior event, there were 121 teams and almost 400 contestants. Overall, Blanco’s junior team placed in the top 50%, with Cade Felps ranking 43rd. Other local juniors placing well were: Kinley Felps, Kelton Marek, Kolby Marek, Gage Nichols, Brock Nichols and Cooper Riley.
