Littering is Rude!
Wednesday, March 12, 2014 • Posted March 14, 2014 11:20 AM

The exact words of one thoughtful young person were “Don’t be rude to the Earth” as she picked up a candy wrapper thoughtlessly discarded along a trail.

Keep Blanco Beautiful April 12 by participating in the annual Trash-Off. Youth Groups, Scout Troops, High School and Middle School organizations form your teams for this year’s event!

Volunteers will gather at Bindseil Park at 9 a.m. on Saturday April 12. Areas of the town will be assigned to each group and off they will go trash-bags and gloves in hand. Once Blanco is free of litter, lunch will be served back at the park. A couple of hours on a Saturday is not much to give in thanks to the Earth for all it provides.

Remember your manners – Don’t be Rude to Mother Earth – dispose of litter properly.
