Mowery Retires as City Secretary
Wednesday, April 2, 2014 • Posted April 4, 2014

On Thursday, March 27, Mayor Chuck Homan and city employees took Bobbie Mowery out to lunch in honor of her retirement. Mowery worked as City Secretary for Blanco for nearly 22 years, time she will remember as “well spent.”

Blanco County News asked Mowery if she had any plans on how to spend her retirement, she replied with a laugh, “Nothing, for awhile.” She made it clear that she will still “be around Blanco” and that she will miss her “work family.”

Mayor Chuck Homan said, “I couldn’t have done my job without her. We all really appreciate all the work she’s done, above and beyond the call of duty. We can’t replace her, but we will find someone to do the job. We’ll miss her and wish her all the best.”
