Since 1991 Blanco United Methodist Church has awarded scholarships to students in the Blanco community who seek to further their education beyond high school, whether at a four-year college, community college, or certified technical school. This one-time scholarship award is for graduating high school seniors only . 2009-2010 scholarship application packets are now available in the BUMC church office Monday through Thursday 9 a.m.-12 noon, and 1-3 p.m.

To assist students in completing the application accurately, there will be an information session February 15 at 10 a.m. in the BUMC church office. All students who think they may be interested in applying should plan to attend and pick up an application. Parents of applicants are also cordially invited to attend. The deadline for returning completed applications to the church office is April 4.
