Margaret “Margy” Smith Sheppard

Margaret “Margy” Smith Sheppard passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 after complications from a stroke.

Margaret was a wonderful mother, fantastic wife of 56 years and beautiful person. Before starting a family she worked as a legal secretary in her home town of Corpus Christi, TX. She and husband, Luke, raised two sons Luke III and Walter. After her children started school she worked as a secretary for a chemical manufacturing plant in Alvin, TX. She resided in Alvin for 30 years and after retirement she moved to Blanco, TX in 1990. She was a member of the Women’s Club and Yucca Garden Club.

She is survived by her husband Luke F. Sheppard, son Walter K. Sheppard, and in laws, Mildred and and Bob Jones of Blanco, Edith Smith of Leaky, TX and many nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of seven siblings.

She was cremated and a private memorial service is to be scheduled at a later date. In preference of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in memory of “Margy”.
