Blanco County Commissioners Court conducted a Special meeting of the Commissioners Court on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Blanco County Courthouse located in Johnson City, Texas. All four County Commissioners and Blanco County Judge Bill Guthrie attended the Special meeting.
Judge Guthrie called the Special meeting to order and the Commissioners Court recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Blanco County Clerk Karen Newman read the minutes of the Regular meeting held on April 8th, 2014. Blanco County Commissioner Paul Granberg made a motion to approve the minutes as read and County Commissioner James Sultemeier seconded the motion. No discussion followed, and the minutes of the April 8th Regular meeting were approved as read.
The Blanco County Commissioners Court was asked to consider acceptance of Rocky River Road and River Oaks Road in Rocky River Subdivision for County maintenance. Blanco County Commissioner Granberg reported there were issues with whether property owners had to sign an easement…there was some confusion if property owners signed. According to County Commissioner Granberg, “this means we will pass and revisit this action later.”
The Blanco County Commissioners Court considered replat of Lots 55A and 55B in Landon’s Crossing Subdivision. Kathy Strickland, secretary to Blanco County Judge Guthrie told the Commissioners Court that the owners of the lots had bought the parcels of property. County Commissioner Granberg said that the land was combined into lots and replatted now. Judge Guthrie asked, “so lots 55, 56, and 57 are gone now?” Kathy Strickland answered, “yes, we have lots 55A and 55B now.” County Commissioner Granberg said, “this could not be done before because the lots were too small. [This] is the proper way so there is no issue in the future.”
Blanco County Commissioner Granberg gave a motion to approve the replat of Lots 55A and 55B in Landon’s Crossing Subdivision. County Commissioner John Wood seconded County Commissioner Granberg’s motion. Judge Guthrie noted that the survey had been done by Blanco County Surveyor Amil Baker. Judge Guthrie called for discussion and there was none; the motion carried.
Blanco County Commissioner Sultemeier made a motion to approve payment of the outstanding bills in the amount of $199, 838.74. The motion was seconded by County Commissioner Granberg. No discussion followed and the motion carried.
There was no additional business for the Commissioners Court and the Special meeting of the Commissioner Court was ended. Blanco County Commissioner Chris Liesmann gave a motion to adjourn and County Commissioner Granberg seconded.
