Lady Panthers Level Luling for Bi-District Title

The Blanco softball team defeated the Luling Lady Eagles, 12-2, in a 5 inning run-rule game on Thursday, April 24 to claim the Bi-District title. Lead-off batter, Abbie Culton, got the team started with a triple in the first inning, and smacked another another triple in the 2nd inning. Culton scored 3 rbi and 2 runs. Jamie McClinton blasted a single and a double for 3 rbi and 1 run. Charlsey Smith hit a single for 2 rbi and scored 2 runs. Cheyenne Klein hit a single for 2 rbi and scored 1 run. Meaghen Seales, Kasie Dowdy, and Andrea Calzoncit each scored 2 runs. Seales pitched 5 innings, facing 21 batters with 1 walk, 3 hits, and 1 strike-out.

The Panthers face the Boling Lady Bulldogs for the Area title in a one-game series at the Shiner Star Complex on Thursday, May 1, at 7:00pm. Good luck Panthers!
