Blanco Baseball Faces Luling in Bi-District Round

The Panther baseball team won their final home game of the season beating the Lago Vista Vikings, 4-3, on Thursday, April 24. Kyle Gray pitched in relief of Josh McCaslin and shut down the Vikings going 5 innings, striking out 5 and giving up 2 hits and no walks. McCaslin batted 2 for 3. Kyle Sauceda smacked an rbi double. Ty Royce hit an rbi single. The district standings ended with Blanco and Lago Vista tied for 2nd. After a coin toss, Blanco advances into the playoff brackets as 3rd seed from District 27-AA and Lago Vista will be 2nd seed. Comfort is the District Champion. Johnson City also made the playoffs. Blanco plays the Luling Eagles in a series with game 1 scheduled for Thursday, May 1 in Blanco at 7:00 pm. Game 2 is set for Saturday,May 3 in Luling at 4:00 pm. If necessary, game 3 will follow game 2 at Luling. Good luck Panthers!
