Dear hearts and gentle people:
Just a blast from West Virginia, and a thank you for my lovely note from Miss Ada recounting her well-attended birthday party. Florine is wonderful at keeping me updated on church goings-on and Kee keeps me in stitches with library antics. And I miss Leona something dretful! and Dorothy too...............
My mom is doing very, very well at her Memory Care unit, so I am very grateful for that. Her health is good, I am happy to be here with her, and hope that we will continue to be together for a long, long time. I’m seeing a whole different side of her, which is a genuine blessing. All of you who have dealt with Alzheimer’s know those special moments can be few and far between, but I am really lucky - out of the 16 there, she is the queen and runs the show................
I am (in case I haven’t listed these in a while) the president of the Parkersburg Friends of the Library, sing in the church choir, am a lector and a chalicer, and have recently become a costumed docent over on Blennerhasset Island. It’s going to be a fun summer! Otherwise I continue to transcribe at my apartment.
Congratulations to all the graduates at BHS, especially Kristian Saylor and Kristen Watt!
THINK LAVENDER AND HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO LYLE AND TO HAROLD LORD!
Love from West Virginia
