A man was driving home from work when his cell phone rang. His wife was on the line in a panic and said, “Honey, be careful driving. I just saw on television that some maniac is driving the wrong way on the interstate?” The man replies, “One? There’s hundreds of them!”
Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.” When Jesus speaks of the narrow way He is speaking of a compressed area, an area where one would agonize to make it through. We are taught that it is not easy to find eternal life. The easy way is chosen by most because it is easy. No repentance required. No submission to the commandments of God. You can be accepted. Religiously you can even keep your traditions over the word of God.
Only the gospel of Christ can save. Have you obeyed the gospel. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized (immersed) shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16) Come and learn of the gospel that Jesus wanted preached to the whole world.
